Lansing officers attacked while investigating home invasions
LANSING, Mich. (AP) - The Lansing Police Department says three officers were injured in an attack while investigating home invasions in a neighborhood on the city's north side.
Capt. Darin Southworth says four people have been arrested in the Monday morning incident. He says at least one of the suspects is facing a home invasion charge.
Southworth says officers were at a home following up on leads related to the investigation. He says they "encountered resistance" inside the home while attempting to arrest the suspects.
The Lansing State Journal (http://on.lsj.com/1El0VxY ) reports the officers were treated and released from a local hospital for minor injuries.
