Iowa officials search for man suspected in Chariton shooting

CHARITON, Iowa (AP) - Law enforcement officials in southern Iowa are searching for a man police believed to have been involved in the shooting of a woman in Chariton.

Des Moines television station KCCI reports (http://bit.ly/1DNSbTq ) that authorities are searching for 45-year-old Robert Eugene Graham, believed to be the person who shot the woman early Friday morning outside her home.

The woman was taken to a local hospital, then transported to a Des Moines hospital in critical condition.

Authorities say Graham should be considered armed and dangerous.
