Plea scores late winner as Nice wins 2-1 at Bordeaux

PARIS (AP) - Midfielder Alassane Plea scored a last-minute winner as Nice rallied to win 2-1 at Bordeaux on Friday and climb up to 10th place in the French league.

Promising Uruguay forward Diego Rolan put Bordeaux ahead from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute with his first club goal for more than two months.

Left back Jordan Amavi equalized midway through the second half when he profited from poor marking to turn in a free kick from midfielder Valentin Eysseric.

The 22-year-old Plea then grabbed his third league goal of the season after good work from midfielders Nampalys Mendy and Eric Bautheac.

Bordeaux, which has lost three of its past four league games, is in sixth place ahead of this weekend's games.

League leader Lyon is away to Lens on Saturday.

Lyon has 42 points from 20 matches, and is one point ahead of second-place Marseille, three ahead of Saint-Etienne and four clear of fourth-place PSG, which has lost two and drawn one of its past three league games.

In Sunday's games, Marseille hosts Guingamp and PSG faces relegation struggler Evian, which is in 18th spot.
