Report: Naperville man tries to board flight with loaded gun

A Naperville man faces one felony count of attempting to board an aircraft with a weapon, after he brought a loaded gun to Midway Airport Tuesday afternoon, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Kevin W. Reed, 28, was going through security when a TSA X-ray screener found the gun in his bag, according to the Chicago Police and the TSA. Reed was planning to board a flight to Detroit.

When Reed appeared in court Wednesday, he said he forgot that the gun was still in his bag after his drive from Kentucky.
