Indiana promotion ad to air in New York during Colts game

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Indiana's business recruitment agency will use the Indianapolis Colts' appearance in the AFC championship game to promote the state among New York City viewers.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. says the 30-second television commercial featuring Gov. Mike Pence will air in the New York City television market shortly before kickoff of Sunday evening's Colts-Patriots game.

The commercial has Pence inviting business leaders to explore the opportunities Indiana has to offer.

State Commerce Secretary Victor Smith says the commercial is part of an effort to highlight the state's business climate and affordability.

The cost of the commercial wasn't disclosed. The state agency says it was paid for with private donations to the Indiana Economic Development Foundation.
