Baldwin collects from Cruz on Packers-Cowboys bet
WASHINGTON (AP) - Wisconsin U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin has collected on her friendly wager with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz over Sunday's Packers-Cowboys playoff game.
Green Bay beat Dallas, so Cruz treated Baldwin to Blue Bell ice cream and Shiner Bock beer on Tuesday.
In a news release, Baldwin says she appreciates Cruz's "courage to bet against the Packers, and his generosity in defeat."
She adds: "If he's looking for a hug, I hear there's a Cowboy fan in New Jersey who needs one too" - a reference to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who traveled to Lambeau Field to cheer on Dallas.
