Iowa family taking more than 20 laptops to Zambia

ANKENY, Iowa (AP) - An Iowa family is traveling to Zambia to build a computer lab for students there who don't have access to technology.

KCCI-TV (http://bit.ly/1tYWvGY ) reports Matt Cubit and his family are bringing 21 donated laptops with them on their trip to a rural town in the south African nation.

The journey is a part of the mission of Cubit's nonprofit, called Impacting the Next Generation.

Cubit's wife said she hopes the computer lab will allow students to gain new skills that will help them in their future careers.
