Firefighters recovering after blaze in Middlebury Township

MIDDLEBURY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say three firefighters were injured in an explosion while they were battling a blaze in Middlebury Township.

The firefighters responded to a house fire in a basement on Wednesday afternoon. Capt. Eric Brown with the Ovid-Middlebury Emergency Services Authority tells The Argus-Press (http://bit.ly/1IxRTxW ) that the firefighters were transported to local hospitals.

He says they were released later on Wednesday.
