Jones leads No. 12 Maryland over Purdue 88-64

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Brionna Jones had 16 points and a career-high 17 rebounds as No. 12 Maryland stayed undefeated in the Big Ten with an 88-64 victory over Purdue on Thursday night.

Jones had nine of Maryland's 23 offensive rebounds which helped the Terrapins (12-2, 3-0) get 21 more field-goal attempts than Purdue (9-6, 2-2).

Shatori Walker-Kimbrough scored 14 of her 18 points in the second half. Laurin Mincy added 16 points and Lexie Brown scored 10.

Maryland built a 45-26 halftime lead, but let the Boilermakers as close as 57-46 midway through the second half before pulling away for good.

Purdue opened the game with an 8-2 run, but the Terrapins responded with a 15-4 run and later with a 20-4 run to lead by 20 with a minute before halftime.

Whitney Bays led the Boilermakers with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Ashley Morrissette scored 18 and Liza Clemons added 12.
