Holiday enforcement results:
Lake County Sheriff's police have announced results for a special holiday traffic enforcement campaign. Officials announced the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over crackdown ran from Dec. 19 through Sunday, Jan. 4. It resulted in three driving under the influence arrests and the issuance of 60 citations for drivers accused of not wearing seat belts. Roughly 95 other traffic tickets were written during the crackdown. "Drunk driving is deadly and people can get too wrapped up in the excitement of the holidays and make some seriously bad decisions," said Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran. "The bottom line is if you have been drinking alcohol, you don't belong behind the wheel. "
