Billy Goat Tavern open in Lombard

Cheezborger, cheezborger. The Billy Goat Tavern opened a location in Lombard's Yorktown Center Food Court at the end of November. No fries, chips. No Pepsi, Coke. The Billy Goat's menu includes chicken sandwiches, rib eye steak sandwiches and Italian beefs. The restaurant is open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

Grillhouse by David Burke now open

Grillhouse by David Burke opened in Schaumburg in late October. The New York-based celebrity chef offers his special dry-aged meats dried in a Himalayan salt-tiled aging room on the premises. In addition to beef, the menu includes contemporary American fare including duck, seafood, pork, chicken and burgers. Dinner served daily from 5 to 10 p.m. and lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Toasty Cheese truck making the rounds

Follow the Toasty Cheese Mobile Eatery for gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, fresh artisan breads, scratch gourmet french fries and soups, as well as vegetarian and gluten-free options. The truck will be at Crystal Lake Brewery beginning at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9; or find it from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Schaumburg Firestone; 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Libertyville Brightstar; and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Schaumburg Firestone. Order online to save yourself from waiting in the cold.
