No need to wait until midnight to celebrate New Year
Kids and parents got a chance to usher in 2015 a little early Wednesday afternoon during a New Year's Eve celebration at Party Fantasy in Mundelein.
The party has been a tradition at the indoor entertainment center for the last three years.
"It keeps growing," General Manager Ren Newman said.
Only 10 people signed up for the first celebration three years ago, Newman said. This year, more than 100 kids and parents attended.
Participants got use of the facility for three hours for go-karting, rock climbing, jumping in bounce houses and playing arcade games. The party culminated on the dance floor with a limbo contest and a countdown featuring a balloon drop.
