2 hurt in Des Plaines crash

Two people were taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a crash in Des Plaines.

The crash happened just before 2 p.m. at Rand Road and Dempster Street, fire officials said.

Both people were taken with nonlife-threatening injuries to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge - one person with a facial cut, fire officials said.

No further information was available Wednesday night.
