Tri-Cities girls basketball roundup

Aurora Christian opened play at the Dixon Christmas Tournament on Friday with a 43-36 win over Belvidere North.

Sami Hultine led Aurora Christian (10-3) with 14 points. Ashley Hochsprung scored 10. Natasha Brown added 9 points and 16 boards.

Aurora Central Catholic 34, Lemont 21: Kalie Soris scored 10 points to lead the Chargers (10-3) to the win Friday at the Oswego East tournament. Aurora Central held Lemont to 8 points in the first half.

The Chargers will play for the consolation championship at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
