Woman killed while crossing street near Kewaunee

KEWAUNEE, Wis. - An 84-year-old woman was killed after she was struck by a car as she was crossing the street near Kewaunee.

Kewaunee County Sheriff Matt Joski says the accident happened at around 5:40 a.m. Tuesday. He says the 42-year-old driver of the car said he didn't see the woman.

Joski tells WLUK-TV he doesn't expect charges to be filed.

The name of the victim has not been released.
