Waukegan hit-and-run victim dies from injuries

A 21-year-old North Chicago man has died of injuries he suffered in a hit-and-run crash Sunday in Waukegan.
Police said Adrian Gonzalez succumbed to his injuries Wednesday. He had been taken to Vista Hospital in Waukegan with major head trauma after being struck Sunday night by an SUV. The crash occurred about 11:40 p.m. at Tamera Court and Butrick Street.
Authorities with the Waukegan Police Department's traffic division said Thursday they are looking for a gray or silver SUV, which was last seen fleeing north on Butrick approaching Grand Avenue. Anyone with information should call police at (847) 599-2630.
