Now through February, taste winter at LongHorn Steakhouse with entrees like the champagne lobster filet, a center-cut filet topped with lobster in a champagne hollandaise, six-ounce for $24.49 or eight-ounce for $27.49; or the bourbon molasses pork tenderloin, house-brined and topped with a bourbon molasses glaze, served with sweet corn and cheddar spoonbread and fresh green beans for $16.99; the renegade sirloin and lobster shrimp mac and cheese, an eight-ounce sirloin paired with lobster and grilled shrimp mac and cheese served with a side for $19.49; or the mushroom truffle bisque, a mushroom soup infused with truffle, sauteed shallots, onion and garlic and topped with sour cream for $5.49. Ye Olde Town Inn closes
Longtime Mount Prospect restaurant and bar Ye Olde Town Inn recently closed. Known for its pizzas and hard rock entertainment acts, the establishment existed for 46 years at 18 W. Busse Ave. Owner Tod Curtis cited “personal interest and family concerns.” No word on what might fill the vacant building.
Gene and Georgetti announces expansion
Chicago's oldest family-run steakhouse announced plans and the location for its first expansion: Rosemont. The yet-to-be named restaurant will go in at 9421 W. Higgins Road, which is the existing Rosewood restaurant and banquet hall. Rosewood is expected to close by early January upon the retirement of owner Jim Mandas.
