Why so easy on Cantore?

After reading the editorial opinion Dec. 10, I was thinking what a good interview DuPage Forest Preserve President Joseph Cantore would be for a follow-up.

Then the next day, there is a cover story (Neighborhood Section) with Mr. Sanchez's interview. What was missing was any type of hard hitting questions posed to Cantore, following the editorial's view that it wasn't so much performance as it was the leadership change from Pierotti to Cantore.

Why the rosy picture and article of Mr. Cantore a day after an appropriate concern over his role in costing the forest preserve hundreds of thousands of dollars?
