Boys basketball: Lake County roundup

Robby Nardini poured in 21 points, and Cory Levin added 18, as Vernon Hills' boys basketball team stayed hot with a 64-53 win over visiting Antioch in North Suburban Prairie Division action Saturday night.

Both Nardini and Levin sank three 3-pointers in helping the Cougars improve to 6-1 and 3-0 in the NSC Prairie. Matt Weaver contributed 11 points, as Vernon Hills ran its winning streak to four games heading into Wednesday night's home game against North Chicago.

Antioch (2-5, 0-3) received 12 points apiece from Matt Powers and Trevor Koch. Kyle Gofron scored 11 points for the Sequoits, who dropped their fourth game in a row.

Wauconda 74, Round Lake 43: Zac Lahrman scored a season-high 20 points and dished out 4 assists, as the visiting Bulldogs won in North Suburban Prairie action.

Ricky Sidlowski chipped in 16 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists for Wauconda (5-3, 2-0), which also got 13 points from Ben Carlson.

Round Lake (2-6, 1-3) was led by Michael Green's 18 points and Austin Soto's 11, which included three 3-pointers.

Grayslake North 67, Crystal Lake Central 49: Aidan Einloth scored a season-high 21 points, including three 3-pointers, and the host Knights bounced back from a one-point loss at Woodstock 24 hours earlier to capture their first Fox Valley Fox win.

Grayslake North (5-3, 1-1) also received a season-high 11 points from Lee Bowen and 9 from Bobby Krebs.

North Chicago 60, Grant 55: Jason Kaye scored 21 points for the visiting Bulldogs in their North Suburban Prairie loss.

Grant (0-7, 0-2) also got 10 points from James Mobley.

Prairie Ridge 48, Grayslake Central 42: David Llorens scored 14 points, including four 3-pointers, in the Rams' Fox Valley Fox road loss.

Grayslake Central suffered its third loss in a row.
