Lake Zurich all-state musicians:

Lake Zurich High School has had a bumper crop of all-state musicians. Lake Zurich Unit District 95 officials announced Thursday that 31 students have been chosen by audition to participate in this year's Illinois Music Educators Association All-District Ensembles. Students prepared a set of challenging music, then auditioned before professional musicians. They now have an opportunity to work with outstanding college and professional conductors to hone their craft. Officials said 31 all-state students is considered an "outstanding" year. The pupils have been invited to participate in the 2015 Illinois Music Educators Conference in Peoria, Jan. 28-31.
