Tri-Cities girls basketball roundup

Aurora Central Catholic rallied from a 19-6 first-quarter deficit to win 54-49 Tuesday at IC Catholic Prep.

The Chargers outscored ICCP 24-7 the rest of the first half. The second half started with a 5-0 run by ICCP to tie the score.

ACC senior Andrea Bieritz drove for a layup and hit a 3-pointer on two consecutive possessions to put the Chargers ahead for good in the third quarter.

ACC was led by seniors Kalie Soris with 15 points and Alex Horton with 10.

The Chargers (6-1, 1-1) take on St. Edward in Aurora in Thursday.
