Police: 2 dead, 2 injured in Chicago crash

Police say a man and a woman have died and two other people have been injured in a crash on Chicago's North Side.

Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said the male driver was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday in the city's Bucktown neighborhood. His approximate age wasn't immediately clear, and authorities haven't released his identity.

The medical examiner's office says 37-year-old passenger Lajada Jackson was pronounced dead at an area hospital. Autopsies are scheduled.

Police say the SUV sideswiped another vehicle early Sunday before driving two more blocks and hitting a parked vehicle and a tree. A third passenger in the SUV and a fourth person were hospitalized in serious condition.

It's unclear what caused the collisions. Police are investigating.
