Man stabbed in Carpentersville

A man was stabbed in Carpentersville early Saturday, and a suspect was taken into custody, police said.

Officers were called to the 2200 block of Teepee Avenue for a disturbance and a possible stabbing. Police discovered the man in a home. He was rushed to Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, where police said his condition has stabilized. The man was in surgery about 3 p.m. Saturday.

Witnesses to the stabbing were still at the scene. A suspect was then identified and taken into custody, police said.
