Join a volunteer restoration work day

Conserve Lake County will host volunteer restoration workdays on the second Saturday of each month through February. The first session is from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 13 at Libertyville Township's Oak Openings preserve on Route 45, just north of Casey Road in Grayslake. Volunteers are provided with tools and instruction and help with weed control, seed collecting and planting. Wear jeans and boots. Gloves, water and nourishment is provided.
