Dundee Library offers free movies this month
The Dundee Library is offering four free movies for children and teens during December. Drop in and enjoy the movies plus freshly made popcorn. These programs are free and open to the public. Children, age 8 and younger, must be accompanied by an adult.
• Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m.
"The Polar Express," rated G and starring the voice of Tom Hanks as the conductor in this famous Christmas story, will be featured. Based on the book by Chris Van Allsburg, this film was nominated for three Oscars and won for the original song "Believe."
• Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m.
The recent hit "The Fault in Our Stars," rated PG-13 and starring Shailene Woodley, will be shown. In this highly rated, emotional drama, two teens meet in a cancer support group and discover that they share an unconventional outlook and an intense love.
• Saturday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m.
The animated film "Mr. Peabody and Sherman," rated PG, will be shown. Featuring the voices of Ty Burrell and Steven Colbert, the canine characters travel in time trying to avert a disaster.
• Monday, Dec. 22 at 2 p.m.
The library will show "Home Alone," rated PG. Starring Macauley Culkin and Joe Pesci, this 1990 holiday favorite showcases the creative antics of an 8-year-boy, accidentally left home alone, as he resists break-in attempts by two goofy burglars.
The Dundee Library is located at 555 Barrington Ave. (Route 68) in East Dundee.
