Tolls are on a roll in this state

Today the Elgin-O'Hare Expressway, tomorrow Route 53, next week I-290, then Mannheim Road, Route 72, Route 58, Route 19, Route 20, Elston Avenue, and so on. Last night I had a dream. It was 2017, a hot summer day. My 4-year-old and 6-year-old asked me if they can play on the sidewalk in front of my home. I said yes, but wait, you will need a dollar because of the sidewalk toll.

As for the few streets without tolls, there are red-light and speed cameras everywhere. If my children did not still live in this money-hungry state, I would have moved out a long time ago.
