Believe Project: $100 to help a woman who took in two kids at Christmas

Today's winner of a $100 bill through the Believe Project is Audre Kurowski of Sugar Grove.

Here is an excerpt of her pitch:

"I was recently a visitor at St. Charles Episcopal Church. The pastor said one of the congregants had an announcement: Two children had been unceremoniously 'dumped' at the home of her 78-year-old neighbor and her husband. The parents of those kids are both drug addicts. They needed to put the children someplace for Christmas and did not have not any plans to pick them up. Thus, the elderly neighbor received them into her home, bless her heart. Her neighbor had requested help in providing some kind of a Christmas for these children."

• The Believe Project will mail a $100 bill each day to someone with a good idea for how to use it to do a good deed for someone else. Email us your pitch of 100 words or fewer (include your name, address and hometown) to specialevents@dailyherald.com.
