Play benefits Long Grove Historical Society

Kirk Players, in cooperation with Long Grove Historical Society, will present a dramatization of the children's classic, "The Velveteen Rabbit," at noon and 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, at the village hall, 3110 Old McHenry Road, behind Kildeer School. Tickets are $5 for children 12 and under and $10 for adults. The original children's book by Margery Williams has been rewritten as a play by Scott Davidson. Kirk Players is performing this interactive play for children to benefit the Long Grove Historical Society. The Society is also asking that people bring a nonperishable food item to be donated to the St. Francis de Sales Food Pantry in Lake Zurich.
