Palatine library board announces two open seats for April election

At the regular monthly meeting of Sept. 10, Board President Barbara Illian announced there will be two openings on the Board of Library Trustees for the April 2015 election. Each of these seats is a four-year term covering May 2015 through May 2019.

Information for candidates may be found on the Cook County Clerk's website (www.cookcountyclerk.com) and on the Illinois State Board of Elections website (www.elections.il.gov). The filing period for nomination papers, which can be found on the noted websites, is set by the Cook County Clerk.

Nomination papers will be accepted Monday, Dec. 15, - Monday, Dec. 22, during regular business hours 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The library will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 24, and Thursday, Dec. 25.

No late submissions will be accepted.

Interested persons will also find paper copies of the information (available for photocopying) in the Administrative Office located at the Main Library, 700 N. North Court, during weekday business hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
