Predictions on what the GOP might do

Now that the shoe is on the other foot (Republicans), let's see what they will do.

• Impeach Obama

• Destroy the Affordable Care Act in spite of the fact that seven million people now have in medical insurance. Sixty-seven percent of bankruptcies are due to medical bills.

• "Balance" the budget by taking away entitlements of the poor, elderly and the disabled the people who need it most. People like Ryan have no concept of what it is like to "dumpster dive" for expired food or to live on a poverty level income.

• Cut taxes resulting in substandard roads, bridges and other public transportation methods.

• Mishandle the immigration problem. Many have been in this country for decades, quietly working, paying taxes and social security. They are not cheating the system. Their children are U.S. citizens and separating them is cruel. If they have been law-abiding they should be given citizenship status. This county was made from the labor of immigrants and it should be understood and appreciated.

• Wars and its involvement seem to be a real problem. Most the conservatives want to put boots on the ground. Whoever wants to do this should be drafted and put on the front line.

• Conservatives (Republicans and Democrats) generally get uncomfortable about progress. They yearn for the "good old days" when we had polio, scarlet fever, huge unemployment and an early death at 60-65 years of age. They wish everyone knew their place in society and quit complaining and stop trying to climb the social ladder. This called "social Darwinism. Not all conservatives are like this.

In general, we are in for a ride on the de-evolution train.
