Takeda must pay damages for destroying Actos files

A jury ordered Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. to pay $150,000 over its destruction of documents about its Actos diabetes medicine after finding the missing files blocked a man from proving his claims that the drug caused his cancer, a lawyer said. The company's U.S. headquarters are in Deerfield.
