CLC hosts open house for prospective students
Current high school students and adults will have the opportunity to learn about attending the College of Lake County at an open house from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Grayslake campus, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake.
The event will provide an opportunity for those attending to talk with current students, admissions staff and faculty. Participants may take a campus tour and attend a student services fair to learn about support programs and campus life.
The open house will provide answers to the questions that prospective students and their parents most frequently ask, all in a convenient two-hour program. Four different half-hour sessions will be offered:
• How to get started at CLC (step-by-step guide);
• "Start here, transfer anywhere": how to begin a bachelor's degree at CLC;
• Honors options and study abroad;
• Paying for college.
In addition, students may visit with faculty and staff to learn about transfer and career programs in biological and health sciences; business; communication arts, humanities and fine arts; engineering, math and physical sciences; and social sciences.
Parking will be available in lots 7 and 7A, and visitors should enter at the C Wing.
Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call (847) 543-2090 or visit www.clcillinois.edu/openhouse.
Open registration for spring semester is under way and spring classes start Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015.
