A suspect has been charged in a shooting this week that injured two people in a parking lot outside a Norridge shopping mall.
Police in Norridge announced charges Saturday against 31-year-old Everett D. Harris. They include attempted murder, aggravated battery and aggravated kidnapping.
He was scheduled to appear in bond court Saturday. It was not immediately clear if he already had an attorney.
Harris is accused of kidnapping his ex-girlfriend's two young children Thursday. Police say the woman and her cousin followed Harris to the Harlem Irving Plaza, and that Harris shot them both during a confrontation.
Both were hospitalized and are expected to survive. The children were not hurt.
