Driver issued citations for accident that killed Naperville woman

A Plainfield man has been cited for disobeying a red light and failing to exercise due care in the crash earlier this week that killed a 22-year-old Naperville woman who was walking her dog.

Police said a court date is pending for Kenneth E. Holmberg, 74.

Emily S. Driscoll, 22, was walking her greyhound Sunday evening when she was struck by Holmberg at the intersection of Book Road and Rickert Drive in Naperville.

She was taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville, where she died from her injuries. Her greyhound, Quincy, also was killed.

Loved ones described Driscoll as a sharp-witted, confident animal lover who especially adored dogs. Her funeral was Thursday.
