Prospect Heights woman pleads guilty to hit-and-run

A Prospect Heights woman charged with leaving the scene of an accident in January, recently pleaded guilty to an amended charge, court records show.
According to published reports, Karolina Maculewicz, 28, was driving in the 1200 block of South Lee Street in Des Plaines last January when she struck a pedestrian.
Charged with felonies in the hit-and-run, Maculewicz pleaded guilty to misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident and was sentenced to 12 months conditional discharge, court records.
She was also ordered to play $469 in fines, records show.
