Grant High to perform 'The 39 Steps' in November

Grant Community High School presents "The 39 Steps," with special arrangement by Samuel French, Inc.

Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have "The 39 Steps," a fast-paced whodunit.

This 2-time Tony and Drama Desk Award-winning treat is packed with nonstop laughs, more than 150 zany characters (played by a cast of 17), an onstage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers and some romance.

In "The 39 Steps," a man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she's a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. Soon, a mysterious organization called "The 39 Steps" is hot on the man's trail in a nationwide manhunt that climaxes in a death-defying finale.

Performance dates and times are: Friday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 22, 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. in the Grant Community High School Auditorium, 285 East Grand Ave., Fox Lake

Contact fallplaytix@grantbulldogs.org for advance ticketing. Same day ticket sales start one hour before the performance at the door. Prices are $7 adults; $5 seniors and students.
