Cold weather doesn't stop trick-or-treaters
Children dressed in Halloween costumes braved cold weather and high winds Friday, as they descended on downtown Libertyville to participate in the annual Trick-or-Treat on MainStreet event.
Kids and parents wandered from store to store along Milwaukee Avenue in search of candy and other treats, as part of the event hosted by the MainStreet Libertyville organization. Trick-or-treating lasted from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Jeff Mateer, owner of Studio West, took Halloween portraits in exchange for a toy donation or a $10 donation to Toys for Tots.
