Nominations Being Accepted for Arlington Heights Hearts of Gold Awards Program

Arlington Heights offers a fantastic program to recognize people who live or work in the community.

The Arlington Heights Special Events Commission is looking to honor the "unsung hero," the people who are dedicated volunteers, a helpful neighbor, a mentor, teacher, business leader, someone who has done a beautification project, a student who has achieved a lot - anyone who has made a positive difference. If you know someone who deserves special recognition for what they do, consider nominating them for the "Arlington Heights Hearts of Gold" award program. Nominations must be received by 5 p.m. Friday, November 21.

Nominations can be filled out online at www.vah.com under the Hearts of Gold news article. When making your nominations, please include as much detail as possible. 11 awards are given out each year.

Current Village Board members, candidates for the Village Board, and current members of the Special Events Commission are not eligible for nomination.

The Hearts of Gold Awards will be presented February 21, 2015 at the Rolling Green Country Club. The event is open to anyone who wishes to pay for a reservation. For more information on attending the event or receiving a nomination form, email nkluz@vah.com or call 847-368-5104.
