Crespo opponent resorts to gutter campaign

Ever since the beginning of the state representative campaign Fred Crespo's opponent has flooded my mailbox with unattributed, scurrilous printings full of half truths, innuendos and outright lies.

His workers have pasted a poster to my front door during a Saturday night without my permission. Even though I have two Crespo signs in my yard, his opponent's workers have littered my yard around the posters with copies of a fictitious newspaper which also was full of half truths and lies.

The final insult to me, as a voter, came in the mail yesterday. It is a flyer depicting a bull defecating and a picture of liquid, runny excrement. This is one of the most insulting, vulgar pieces of campaign literature I have ever seen.

Also, Mr. Schoolteacher opponent, "you're" is not spelled "your."

I am voting for a true gentleman, one who has served the residents of Hanover Park well, Fred Crespo.
