50 vehicle burglaries reported in Gurnee

Gurnee police say they are investigating at least 50 vehicle burglary reports received since Sept. 1. In a release, police said items seized include purses, wallets, spare change, laptop computers, cellphones, MP3 players and GPS units. Points of entry to each vehicle include unlocked vehicles, partially open side windows being pulled down by force, and side windows smashed out.
