No injuries reported in semi-truck fire on Route 176 in Green Oaks

No one was injured in a semi-truck fire on Route 176 near the Tri-State Tollway in Green Oaks early Friday morning, fire officials said.
Libertyville Fire Department Assistant Chief Ken Komers said firefighters were called at 5:01 a.m. and found the vehicle's cab fully engulfed in flames.
Komers said the truck was traveling west on Route 176, just west of the tollway, when the driver noticed the fire. The driver pulled off to the side of the road and called for help, Komers said.
Some lanes of Route 176 were closed while the fire was extinguished, he said. It took firefighters about 30 minutes to put out the fire, Komers said.
The fire remains under investigation, he said.
The truck was towed from the scene about 6:15 a.m., authorities said.
