Alert issued about suspicious person in Arlington Hts.

Arlington Heights police reported on Thursday that a suspicious person was seen Wednesday following a girl to her home located a few blocks from Thomas Middle School.

The suspicious person, who police said followed the girl between 2:45 p.m. and 3 p.m., is described as a white man in his 40s who stands about 6 feet tall with a thin build and reddish-brown curly hair. He was last seen wearing a green overcoat and jeans.

Police say the man might have been driving a blue car.
