Rosemont plans 17 fireworks shows for 2015

Rosemont will spend $232,400 next year on 17 fireworks displays at its entertainment district.

Fourteen fireworks shows will be held in conjunction with a Thursday night concert series, and two will be held during pub crawls over Memorial and Labor Day weekends. Those shows, which cost $13,900 each, will be choreographed to music. A New Year's Eve fireworks display costs $10,000.

Melrose Pyrotechnics will produce the shows at the MB Financial Park entertainment district, located east of the Tri-State Tollway and north of Balmoral Avenue.
