Join Arlington Hts. Scrapbook Club at crop party

The Arlington Heights Senior Center Scrapbook Club is celebrating its fourth anniversary by hosting two, all-day, Intergenerational Crops anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27 and Monday, Nov. 10. All ages are invited.

There will be prizes and mini classes on how to use some of the clubs tools. Lunch and dinner are on your own and you are welcome bring your own food and beverages.

This free event does require registration by calling the Arlington Heights Senior Center at (847) 253-5532.

The Arlington Heights Senior Center Scrapbook Club meets on select Fridays anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., at the Arlington Heights Senior Center. The club is free to seniors 55+ from any community; registration is not required.

A Cricut Expression with 23 cartridges, Sizzix machine, and a variety of tools, punches and scissors are available for use. Members bring their own photos and expendable supplies.

Tools that are easy for seniors to use are available, and everyone is willing to help new members learn how to use them. Members enjoy sharing ideas, and often bring personal tools to share with the group. Some people like to make simple pages, while others like to add decorative items, using a variety of stickers, stamps and papers. Whatever your style, you are welcome to join.

The club will occasionally host a potluck lunch at the meeting, or go out for an early dinner after the club.

The Scrapbook Club is made up of friendly, and fun people, that enjoy sharing their hobby.
