Report: Ex-Vernon Hills star Daniels leaving Notre Dame

Suspended senior Notre Dame wide receiver DaVaris Daniels is leaving the Irish, csnchicago.com is reporting.

Daniels, a standout player at Vernon Hills High School, was one of five Irish players under investigation for academic misconduct.

The university announced on Aug. 15 that it was suspending Daniels, KeiVarae Russell, Ishaq Williams and Kendall Moore while the school looked into the allegations. Safety Eilar Hardy was later added to the list.
