Libertyville High carries on its homecoming tradition

Libertyville High School celebrated its annual homecoming Saturday, with a parade from the Metra station in Libertyville's downtown and the traditional dance later in the evening.

The parade featured the homecoming queen, bands and floats under sunny skies and mild autumn temperatures.

This year's event also celebrated the 50th anniversary of the 1964 graduating class.

The LHS football team put an exclamation mark on the weekend celebration with a 55-0 victory over Mundelein on Friday night.
