Costumed runners to take downtown Palatine once again at 9th Halloween Hustle

The 9th Halloween Hustle 5K Fun Run & Walk through downtown Palatine will start at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the intersection of Eric Drive and Colfax Street. Participants will receive a bib, long-sleeve shirt and a trick-or-treat bag.

New this year is the .5K Mini Monster Kids Dash for children. Participants will receive a short-sleeve youth shirt and a trick-or-treat bag, as well as a pumpkin once they complete the dash.

When the 5K is over, Durty Nellie's will host a costume party where awards for best individual and group costumes will be handed out.

Registration for the 5K is $30 and for the Kids .5K is $10 through Oct. 18. The charitable beneficiary of this event is Fathers Helping Fathers, a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping fathers' rights.
