Small wonder we're $17 trillion in debt
The Democrats have been trying to win votes by touting another minimum wage hike, claiming it will boost the economy. I wrote a letter to the editor on this in 2009 when it was last raised. Did the economy get a boost over the past five years from the last raise? Not if you ask any honest person, so what makes them think the raise this time will boost the economy?
Furthermore, what has happened to the cost of goods and services over the past five years? This same administration and Democrat policies have increased the cost of goods and services. Gas is over 40 percent higher, bacon 67 percent higher, ground beef 39 percent higher, eggs 30 percent higher, just about everything has gone up in the past five years.
Hmm, cause and effect? Or maybe the Democrats are just seeking more tax dollars from the low income workers, the more income, the more money they can tax them on. They just keep making things a mess, then claim that more money from everyone will solve everything, for everyone. No wonder we're $17 trillion in debt.
