Avoiding Springfield shows Quinn out of touch
The Herald's views regarding endorsing Rauner for governor are right on. Over a year ago while on a tour of Springfield- as we drove by the the governor's mansion, the guide said that the governor has all but given up being in Springfield and is very rarely ever there anymore. Apparently he feels that the government is in good hands without him being there and being a part of the key issues facing our state is something he does not have to be troubled with himself.
Other than being at a lot of ceremonial affairs in the Chicago area, I am not sure what he does there that is important enough to bring him away from the major issues that keep our state being the laughingstock of the Midwest states and in many cases also the rest of our country.
