'Real Housewives' husband gets 41 months in prison

NEWARK, N.J. - A husband who appeared on the "Real Housewives of New Jersey" has been sentenced to more than three years in prison, and the judge says she's still deciding whether to send his wife there, too.

Giuseppe "Joe" Giudice also must pay $414,000 in restitution.

He apologized in federal court in Newark on Thursday, saying he disgraced many people.

His wife, Teresa, is awaiting her fate.

They walked into the courtroom holding hands before a judge slammed them for not disclosing all of their assets on a presentencing report.

The couple pleaded guilty in March, admitting they hid assets from bankruptcy creditors and submitted phony loan applications to get some $5 million in mortgages and construction loans.

Joe Giudice also pleaded guilty to failing to file a 2004 tax return.
